Rob called this evening from Santiago, Chile after a very big day. They woke up at 5am and finally hiked out of the Aconcagua Mountain area. He took a quick shower at Penitentes then got on a plane in Mendoza and began his journey home. He will be in Midland tomorrow evening! Godspeed, Rob!
Welcome home! Sure wish you’d had an opportunity to summit, but what an adventure!
Safe journey home! Now, Santa won’t have such a hard time finding you on Christmas Day.
Congrats Rob. Summitting was one of the expedition’s objectives but surely coming back home in good health was the most important one. In that respect, you’re on your way to succeeding and have already reached a great personal achievement as well.

Welcome home, Rob! Congratulations on your “highest point” achievement! Watching your many adventures is an adventure for us. What a wonderful job Ryan, Clay and Keith did in keeping us up to date.
You’re inspiring and we love you.
